Chantilly in Napa

A Haute Honeymoon Getaway in California Wine Country

A romantic honeymoon drive up California’s Highway 1 (preferably in a convertible) is utterly divine. You may want to leave your heart in San Francisco, but the journey shouldn’t end there. Head north across the Golden Gate Bridge, and spend a day in beautiful Napa Valley.

Begin with brunch at Boon Fly Cafe, a cozy restaurant at The Carneros Inn (a well-appointed oasis to spend the night, if you decide). Breathe in the bucolic farmland as you sample the homemade donuts, farm fresh eggs and applewood smoked bacon. Once you’ve dined sufficiently, head to Domaine Carneros Winery, a hilltop chateau known for their traditional sparkling wines, and whet your palette with the best bubbly you’ve had since the wedding. Afterwards, the choice is yours: Wind through the seemingly endless roads of vines, and discover your favorite new Pinot.

Have grape expectations.

Glam Wedding Hair Accessories by Ban.Do

A headpiece was always something to admire from afar (on Carrie Bradshaw, or maybe Blair Waldorf) but never actually wear — until now. Take advantage of the spotlight to accent your up-do with a theatrical hair accessory from’s Black Label collection.

Crafted by two Los Angeles-based stylists, Jen Gotch and Jamie Coulter, Black Label melds fantasy with vintage for a collection of hair accessories inspired by old Hollywood glam with fairy tale touches. The pair carefully curates a colorful collection of vintage brooches, flowers, netting and feathers to create delicate headbands, sweet garlands and chic fascinators. For brides seeking a more subtle statement, offers For the Bride.

It’s the hair apparent.

Fit to the Core

Core Fusion’s Hardcore Pre-Wedding Workout

Wedding dress (and the subsequent honeymoon bikini) boot camp has begun. But every workout you’ve tried just isn’t giving you the long and lean look you envision.

We’ve found the most kick-ass class, quite literally, in Core Fusion. This signature workout at Exhale Spa (locations in NYC, Boston, Chicago, Miami, LA, Dallas and Turks & Caicos) is based on the famous Lotte Berk Method and Pilates to strengthen and stretch every muscle you can imagine (picture a long ballet barre and lots and lots of squats). Twists on the original Core Fusion class, featuring yoga, cardio and weights, each discreetly shock your body into top shape—the future hubs may even join you. Classes are upbeat, fun and inspirational, not to mention there’s the added benefit of Exhale’s oasis-like aura (very VIP without the attitude) and post-workout massages.

It’s no sweat.

Sitting Pretty

Giftable Bud Vases by Nine Iron Studios

A rose is still a rose…unless it’s displayed in a particularly precious vase.

For future flower deliveries, add the perfect bud vase or two to your wedding wish list. Nine Iron Studios, a small company in West Grove, PA operated by glass artist Michael Schunke, creates hand-blown bottles, pitchers and goblets in the most glorious colors (available at Barneys and Bloomies, or order directly). Splurge on a delicate vase for your maid of honor’s thank-you gift  or favorite friend’s bridal shower present. Each piece is an exquisite work of art that will brighten up any room.

Very glassy.

Color Me Beautiful

Custom Wedding Portraits by Figment Studio

You’ve spent a pretty penny to book the best wedding photographer who will capture you at your finest. But there are only so many albums and frames to fill before overload sets in.

To eternalize your images, hand over your favorite photo to Brooklyn-based artist Kristine Baerlin, who creates contemporary commissioned portraits based on treasured snapshots. Using her signature circular pattern that nods to the pop art tradition (or the more traditional dot style), she will hand paint a masterpiece that’s a fanciful likeness of your special moment. Choose a beautiful color combination that best suits your style, and welcome a museum-quality canvas into your new home.

It’s picture perfect.
